Latest News July 2008 Homeopathy and the NHS Homeopathy has been part of the NHS since it was set up in 1948. Recently there has been a sustained campaign from misguided critics to have this provision removed. The argument is put forward that a cash strapped NHS should not be spending scarce resources on such an unproven therapy. There are two significant points here. Firstly, I am a great believer in evidenced based Homeopathy and have studied the detailed evidence very carefully; it is very clear that it is simply not true to assert that Homeopathy is unproven. See many detailed examples on my research pages. The second point is that, whilst few very large studies have been carried out those studies which do exist show conclusively that Homeopathy SAVES the NHS money rather than draining scarce resources. This is the experience of the Glasgow and London Homeopathic hospitals and also the experience of GP's who use Homeopathy. - for details see my research pages and also www.trusthomeopathy.org which provides an authoritative summary of research findings. The hospitals find that the downward spiral of costly specialist appointments and investigations can be significantly reduced with large cost savings, with the introduction of holistic Homeopathic treatment. G.P's find that they can save hundreds of pounds per year per patient, through reduced drugs bills when using low cost but very effective Homeopathic treatments.
The Homeopathy Action Trust I have recently become a trustee of the Homeopathy Action Trust. The trust does excellent work in various areas including the general promotion of Homeopathy, the support of research, the funding of low cost and free clinics, and the provision of student bursaries. Autumn 2008 Courses. I have recently received a number of enquiries about my short courses. I also receive a steady stream of comments from those who have learned about Homeopathy and have been able to treat a wide range of ailments for themselves and their families with sometimes amazing results. I aim to begin another course in Autumn 2008. Please contact me for details.
